E-media

In addition to printed media, the library also acquires a wide range of digital information resources in the form of e-journals, e-books and specialist databases.
You can access most of the e-media and database content from any computer on the university's campus network. For access from home, you can use remote access.

Electronic journals (e-journals)

The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) offers fast and structured access to academic journals in all subject areas. A traffic light system shows you whether the journal you are looking for is available at h_da.
We may have the printed edition, but not the online edition. To find both, it is better to search in the search portalsearch_da.
If you need articles from journals that are not in our collection, you can order them using the document delivery service.

Databases - Subject bibliographies

The database information system (DBIS) provides access to a large number of subject databases which we have licensed or which are available free of charge via the Internet. You can carry out literature searches or call up facts or full texts in these specialist databases.
The literature listed in the bibliographic databases is not necessarily available in the library's collection. In order to check the availability, a search in the search portalsuch_da is required.

E-books

Our collection includes e-books from various publishers. All e-books are listed in our search portal such_da and can be found using author and title searches etc. You can also use the full texts from home.

National licenses

The German Research Foundation (DFG) supports the acquisition of national licenses for digital publications in order to sustainably improve the supply of scientific literature. The licenses are valid for all German universities and all publicly funded German research institutions. They include publications from various publishers and learned societies.
