Registration, reading-card, library-acount

The library of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is open to all interested parties in addition to members of h_da. For holders of the CampusCard, this is activated as a library card; all other users receive a library card. To do this, you must register in person at one of the circulation desks or have your library card activated. To do this, please complete our registration form in full. On your first visit to the library, please present the following documents at the circulation desk:

• valid identity card or residence permit
  or
• EU identity card/passport in conjunction with a current registration certificate or rental contract
• CampusCard

When you register, we will give you access to your personal loan account. With this account you can view your borrowed and reserved media online, renew media and change your password. You will also receive an overview of any outstanding loans. The default password is your date of birth with 6 digits in the form DDMMYYY. After opening your account, you should change this password to a secure one. If you have forgotten your password, please contact us.

To use certain university services, you will receive your central access code (h_da user ID, master password) by post at the start of the semester. You can configure the data under Self-service functions for students. This user account is not identical to the library's media and loan account. You will need the barcode number on your CampusCard or your library card to access this borrowing account.

The holder of the CampusCard or library card is liable for all damages caused by misuse of the CampusCard or library card. Therefore, please inform us immediately if you have lost your CampusCard or your library card so that we can block your account. A new reader card costs 20.00 euros. Please contact the StudentServiceCenter (SSC) to have a new CampusCard issued.

If your contact details change, please let us know promptly so that we can change your data in the system.
