Scan and copy
Scanning, printing, copying
In 2019, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences was recognized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German UNESCO Commission as an "Outstanding Place of Learning for Sustainable Development". The library is taking this award as an opportunity to remove the outdated multifunctional devices for printing and copying without replacing them. The aim is to reduce overall paper consumption and make a further contribution to sustainable development at the university. Instead of photocopiers, library users now have access to devices for scanning literature.
You will find such a device in the Central Library, the Dieburg Branch Library and the Social Work Branch Library. You can easily make scans of the literature you need at all three locations and either send them to yourself by e-mail or save them on a USB stick you have brought with you.
You will find a large format scanner in the Central Library:
- Scanning up to an original size of DIN A2+ or A3
- Scanning up to a resolution of 400dpi
The use of these devices is free of charge.
Please note that the instructions for copying (analog and digital) still apply. You are also responsible for complying with copyright regulations.
